Start calves that are later maturing at 5 lbs/hd/day and
every three days increase by one lb/hd/day until the
calves are up to 2% of their body weight on an as fed
basis. When switching over from the developer, blend the
feed 25/75 for three days and then 50/50 for three days
and finally 75/25 for the last three days. Feed the
amount they were feeding of the developer as they switch
over. Also feed approx. 1% body weight of hay. When
preparing cattle for a show, it is important to get the
cattle finished approx. 30 days ahead of the show and
then increase the High Glo or Original Glo
up 4 to 8 lbs/hd/day to put on the ultimate muscle mass
and touch. Always provide clean fresh water for
better health and feeding results. |
